Nichola has a Masters in Health Ergonomics, is one of only a few technical members of the CIEHF and is a co-author of Success Secrets for Wellbeing. She is the Founder of Inspired Ergonomics, based in London. Her team of ergonomists and physiotherapists provide expert consultancy services to reduce discomfort and pain at work through a range of services including design, individual consultations and workshops, from new fit outs to post occupancy.

Inspired Ergonomics work with companies based both here and internationally, from large law firms to the BBC. Choose your data transfer options

You can choose from HDMI or RJ45 (Cat6) data transfer inserts that simply click into place and can be swapped out at a later date. Alternatively you could leave the holes empty to use as cable pass-throughs, so you don’t lose the cable management ability in your porthole, or insert blank inserts for a sleek finished aesthetic.

Effortless to install Solo Plus can be held in place underneath the desktop with it’s simple screw-on collar. Alternatively in space under the desktop is limited, as is the case with some meeting tables, the module can be secured using securing tabs, raised with screws on the top of the module.

Unlike our Solo porthole power module, Solo Plus comes with a 500mm GST 3-pole male connector allowing easy connection to Powerlink under-desk power modules, or existing GST 3-pole mains supply.

Refreshed product showroom

Leading up to Clerkenwell Design Week we revitalised our London showroom with fresh furniture, keeping track with recent changes in workplace trends, like collaborative breakout spaces and soft seating. In particular we added Narbutas’ Nova Wood Multipurpose meeting table and Soft Rock modular seating as well as our new Formetiq Alto 2 sit-stand bench desk, complete with a glass top to maximise visibility of the desk frame. Most of our Formetiq task seating and meeting chairs can be found in the showroom too.

Our virtual tour was created by Marek Sikora and his team at Office Curator and allows virtual visitors to walk through the entire showroom, including the meeting room. Visitors can click on highlighted furniture tags to find out more information on each product. A connection to Google Maps allows visitors to ‘walk into’ the showroom building from Google Street View.

Hosted on the popular Matterport platform the space can be viewed through via an automated walkthrough, via ‘dollhouse’ overview or plan view. Measurements of furniture within the showroom can even be taken with the built in tool! The space can also be experienced in VR using Oculus Quest.

What does it mean and why does it matter?

The International Organization for Standardization, otherwise known as ISO (don’t ask us why it’s not IOS, we don’t know!), is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 163 national standards bodies. It is the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards for products, services and good practices. Certification of compliance with ISO standards adds great credibility, by demonstrating that a product or service meets the expectations of your customers. For some industries, certification is a legal or contractual requirement. In others where it is not mandatory, ISO compliance is still often a prerequisite for bidding for a contract or becoming an approved supplier.

More importantly than anything else, it shows that we care. We care about quality and we care about the environment, in the same way that we care about each customer and aim to give them a flawless experience from beginning to end.

Whether it was the products, people or pizza, we couldn’t say for sure, but without any doubt it was an event to be remembered.
